Sassuolo Calcio chose once again to be close to its people: for Christmas, it has become a promoter, in collaboration with Sassuolo Hospital and specifically with the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department, of a fundraiser aimed at the purchase of a hysteroscopy device. Following up on a similar initiative in 2019, when the Club had donated an instrument to the city hospital’s Pediatrics Department, the Club decided to continue its support to the care of women.
At a meeting held this morning at the ob-gyn department of the city hospital, in the presence of Organizational Director Andrea Fabris, Head of the Women’s Area, Alessandro Terzi, and players Isabella Kresche and Isotta Nocchi, Sassuolo informed Health Director Stefano Reggiani, in front of doctors of the department, of the decision to allocate all the money usually dedicated to Christmas gifts and the entire proceeds of Sassuolo-Milan Women’s Serie A match, scheduled for Saturday, December 10th at 2:30pm at Ricci Stadium, for the purchase of a hysteroscope, with a donation as the medical staff and health management of Sassuolo Hospital assumed. Other initiatives related to fundraising and donation are under consideration by the Club.
Hysteroscopy is a gynecological endoscopy procedure that allows us to see the inside of the uterus to diagnose and treat various pathological conditions such as malformations, polyps, fibroids, hyperplasia and cancerous lesions. The service, performed on an outpatient regimen, shows the brilliant work carried out by our hospital in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of major women’s diseases. A commitment also emphasized by the National Observatory of Women’s Health with the recognition of the “3 pink stickers” to the city hospital.
We invite all black&green fans to contribute to the initiative by purchasing their tickets for the last Women’s Serie A match before the break and to come to Ricci Stadium to support our girls (tickets).
Your cheer and support for the charity initiative can make a difference!
