U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces that the technical guidance of the First Women’s Team has been entrusted to manager Alessandro Spugna.<\/p>\n

Born in 1973, highly experienced, coach Spugna has led AS Roma for the last three seasons, contributing to the conquest of two Scudetti, two Italian Super Cups and an Italian Cup in addition to participating in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.<\/p>\n

Panchina d\u2019oro (\u201cgolden bench\u201d) in the 22\/23 and 23\/24 seasons, he previously coached Juventus Primavera and Empoli Ladies, creating a recognizable game identity and focusing on the growth of young players.<\/p>\n

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome coach Spugna into our family \u2013 said CEO Giovanni Carnevali -, a highly experienced coach who has achieved important results in his career. He is a manager who knows the league very well and will make our women’s sector grow by bringing enthusiasm, ideas and great motivation. A warm welcome and sincere good luck for this new adventure in black&green.” <\/p>\n

The Head of Development of the Women’s Football Area Alessandro Terzi also welcomed the new coach: “We are happy with the choice we have made. His high-level experience and his vision of football will be key factors in the growth of the women’s first team and in the talent enhancement of our players.”<\/p>\n
