A new prestigious award certifies the excellence of Mapei Stadium. The stadium in Reggio Emilia, home to Sassuolo Calcio, has been awarded the Most Valuable Field 2025\/2026 award, given to the best pitch in the Serie A Enilive. <\/p>\n
Throughout the season, the pitches in the top division were rated matchday by matchday on the basis of technical, performance and aesthetic criteria. The final ranking was based on scores given by the visiting team\u2019s captain, the referee, the television production director and the agronomists from the Lega Serie A. <\/p>\n
Two factors make this pitch truly unique: its continuous use by two professional teams throughout the season and the decision to maintain a 100% natural grass surface. This is an extremely rare combination in modern football, especially at this level. Being able to guarantee excellent performance and quality on a completely natural turf, despite such a heavy match schedule, is a source of great pride and a factor that sets us apart on the international stage. <\/p>\n
At the end of the season, it was Mapei Stadium’s pitch that took first place, confirming its status as the best in the league and a national benchmark for quality. This recognition is the result of a process of growth and development that has been ongoing for several years. Between 2014 and 2025, in fact, Mapei Stadium received investments totalling around 30 million euros, allocated to the modernisation and improvement of the facility, with the aim of ensuring ever-higher standards in terms of technology and infrastructure. <\/p>\n
Simona Giorgetta, Mapei Stadium’s sole administrator, stated: \u201cThis award acknowledges the ongoing investment made by Mapei over the years to raise the quality standards of the facility, as well as the work of everyone involved in managing the site. A key factor was the work carried out in the summer of 2025, which involved the refurbishment of the playing field and the laying of a new, entirely natural turf made from the NorthBridge variety of bentgrass, chosen specifically for its high performance in terms of tolerance to low temperatures, high vegetative density, lasting bright green colour and excellent resistance to mechanical wear.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Most Valuable Field award bears witness to the daily commitment of all the professionals involved in managing the facility and recognises the outstanding work carried out to provide players, coaching staff, supporters and industry professionals with a facility that meets the highest international standards.<\/p>\n
Among these figures is Paradello, a company with over 30 years\u2019 experience in the turf sector, responsible for the care and maintenance of the field at Mapei Stadium.<\/p>\n
