Francesco Turrini’s Sassuolo Youth team win the 51st edition of the Vignola Tournament beating Bologna 3-0. For the second time in the history of the event, the Black&greens won the tournament, three years after their first success.
The game was unlocked at the beginning: it is the 6th minute when, after a corner from Manzari’s right, the red-and-blue Koutsoupias intervenes with a header, unintentionally sending the ball into his own goal. Shortly before the break, Agyemang fouled Mattioli in the box, penalty kick for Sassuolo that Manzari transformed. The game is stil hard-fought, Bologna tries to reopen it but Sassuolo holds up well, Turati is always focused and Mattioli also scored during added time, setting the final 3-0 result. In addition to the success of the team, the Black&greens also receive the top scorer award, given to Andrea Mattioli with 4 goals while the best goalkeeper’s went to Stefano Turati.
