Generazione S | Boloca and Gallazzi meets students from the Volta Institute of Sassuolo

10 February 2026

Generazione S continues its program dedicated to meeting and engaging with young people in local schools. This morning, Daniel Boloca and Valentina Gallazzi met with students from the Volta Institute in Sassuolo for an open discussion around anxiety and fear, together with sports psychologist Andrea Menozzi.

It was a lively meeting, in which the two black&green players shared personal experiences and strategies used to deal with emotions related to competition, study, and individual growth.

Boloca talked about his approach to managing pressure, especially in the moments leading up to a match: “I try to focus on what I can control. Before a game, I stay focused on what I have to do, reminding myself that everything is the result of a journey. I’ve already done what I could: I rely on my abilities and think that if I have the opportunity to play in Serie A today, it’s because I’ve built something important over the years ”.

Valentina Gallazzi shared a similar view, explaining how she deals with pre-match anxiety through awareness and rationalization of her emotions: “I think I manage my anxiety pretty well before taking the field. In those moments, I try to focus on what I can do, I already experience the game by observing it a little from the outside. I remember my strengths and try to rationalize the feelings that surround me as much as possible”.

The event was moderated by psychologist Andrea Menozzi, who led the discussion with the young people and, at the end, offered useful insights and advice: “You, young people, have many strengths, don’t be afraid to put yourselves to the test. Share your problems and fears, trying to understand how to deal with difficulties. Everyone experiences anxiety or fear, but every situation can be addressed by finding the right response.”

This was another significant milestone for Generazione S, which continues to bring the values of sport, of listening and personal growth off the pitch, meeting young people in their everyday lives.
