U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces the signing of Darryl Bakola from Olympique de Marseille.

Bakola was born in Clichy, on the suburbs of Paris, on November 30, 2007, to parents of Congolese origin.

He started playing football in the youth teams of Asnières, RC France, and Red Star, and was signed by Olympique de Marseille in 2022. Right-footed midfielder with an attacking mindset, he played for OM’s youth teams, winning a French Youth Cup before joining the first team on January 5, 2025, making his debut against Le Havre.
This season, Bakola has made eight appearances in Ligue 1, one in the French Cup, and one in the Champions League against Newcastle in a 2-1 victory in the League phase.
