Final Four Primavera Women | A weekend of growth and shared experiences

14 May 2026

More than just football. The three-day Primavera Women Final Four event held last weekend in Sassuolo, between the Mapei Football Center and Ricci Stadium, represented a moment of widespread participation for the club, actively involving both the youth sector and the First Team in a journey of experiences, education, and sharing.

Alongside the conference dedicated to youth development and talent growth, featuring Italian National Team Head Coach Andrea Soncin and Sassuolo Women’s Area Director Alessandro Terzi, the heart of the weekend was the direct involvement of all Sassuolo players.

On the afternoon of the final, the Under-17 and Under-15 teams attended a screening of the documentary Copa 71, produced by the Williams sisters, at Sala Biasin, kindly hosted by the Municipality of Sassuolo. The screening became an opportunity for reflection on the history and development of women’s football, revisiting the 1971 World Cup held at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, in which Honorary President and Brand Ambassador Betty Vignotto also took part.

In the pre-match, space was also given to personal development: the Under-13 team took part in a mentoring session at Ricci Stadium alongside First Team players Davina Philtjens, Lana Clelland, and Sara Caiazzo. It was a genuine and direct exchange, allowing young players to engage with professionals who experience elite football every day.

The presence of all youth teams at the stadium completed the picture, giving them the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a major final. With over 1,000 spectators at the Ricci Stadium, the event provided an immersive and memorable experience, strengthening the sense of belonging and inspiring the next generation.

Blending educational moments with active participation, the Final Four weekend proved to be not only a high-level sporting event but also a concrete opportunity for growth across the entire Sassuolo women’s football system, starting from its youngest players.
