U.S. Sassuolo Calcio is pleased to announce the extension of Tarik Muharemović’s contract until June 30, 2031.

Muharemović joined the Black&greens in the summer of 2024, making his debut in the Cosenza-Sassuolo match on September 21, and scoring his first goal a few days later in his first start, in the Coppa Italia game against Lecce. With thirty appearances in the 2024/2025 season, Tarik played a key role in the team’s promotion to Serie A, where he has already won two MVP awards in just six appearances.

“I am very happy to have extended my contract here at Sassuolo, the club that has shown great faith in me since day one. I want to thank my family, my agent, the club for their trust, and the whole team for their support.” The defender added: “My goal this year is to achieve the objectives we set at the beginning of the season and, personally, to keep improving and growing as a player. For me, Sassuolo is home. Here, I took the most important step in my career and experienced the best moments as a player, from winning the Serie B league to the opportunity to play in Serie A.
