U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces the signing -on loan with option to buy- of footballer M’Bala Nzola (striker, born in 1996).
Born in Angola, M’Bala moves to France at an early age and start playing for Troyes’ Youth teams. When he mas 18, Nzola goes to Portuguese side Académia.
After 7 goal in 25 games with third-division-side Sertanese, the player leaves Portugal. Some trial with Italian sides later, Nzola signs with Virtus Francavilla and scores 11 goals in Lega Pro: M’Bala erano a move to Carpi in Serie B and then to Trapani, which net promoter to Serie B thanks to his 8 goals. Six months lather he is loaned to Spezia: Nzola scores 7 and helps the team reach Serie A.
With the black and white shirt, the Angolan footballer finds the net 11 times in 25 matches, enough to avoid relegation. The 13 goals of the following season are not enough to keep Spezia in the top division but Nzola moves to Fiorentina, with whom he scores in the Conference League semifinal.
In the 24/25 season he goes back to France, on loan at Lens, and after 7 goals he is loaned to Pisa, his last Italian club before joining Sassuolo, where he scores 3 in 17 games.
