He grew up playing football between Geneva and Zurich, joining Grasshopper Club Zürich at a very young age, where he made his debut in the first team and also played his first UEFA Europa League match in 2014.
In July 2016, at just over 20 years of age, he was signed by Werder Bremen, playing for both the first team and the youth team. His experience in Germany ended in January 2018 with a loan move to Nuremberg.
From 2018 to 2024, Ulisses Garcia returned to Switzerland, becoming one of the key players of the Young Boys in Bern. In six seasons, he made a total of 195 appearances in the league and cups, also playing 15 games in the UEFA Champions League. With the Young Boys, he won four Super League titles and one Swiss Cup, establishing himself as a regular starter in European competitions.
In January 2024, he moved to Olympique de Marseille, where he played regularly in Ligue 1 and the French cup as a left-back, making 42 appearances and scoring two goals, with two additional appearances in the current edition of the UEFA Champions League.
At national level, Garcia chose to represent Switzerland: after 35 appearances with the youth national teams, he has made 11 appearances for the senior national team since 2021.
From the whole black&green family, welcome Ulisses!
