U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces the signing of footballer Woyo Coulibaly (defender, born in 1999) from Leicester FC on loan until June 30, 2026.
Of Malian origin, Coulibaly was born in France and started playing as a child for AS Ermont and Entente SSG, two Parisian teams. He moved to Le Havre’s academy and worked his way up to become runner-up in the Under-19 league and make his Ligue 2 debut with the Blue and Whites. After 77 appearances between the first and second teams, in 2021 he was bought by Parma in Serie B, where he scored his first goal in a 2-1 win against Palermo and helped the Crociati reach the playoffs in his first year, while in his second year, Woyo and the Gialloblù achieved direct promotion to Serie A by winning the championship. Eighty-two appearances later, in January 2025, he was signed by Leicester in the Premier League.
In June 2025, he earned his first call-up for Mali in a friendly against Congo.
From the whole black&green family, welcome Woyo!
