U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces that the technical guidance of the First Women’s Team has been entrusted to manager Alessandro Spugna.
Born in 1973, highly experienced, coach Spugna has led AS Roma for the last three seasons, contributing to the conquest of two Scudetti, two Italian Super Cups and an Italian Cup in addition to participating in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Panchina d’oro (“golden bench”) in the 22/23 and 23/24 seasons, he previously coached Juventus Primavera and Empoli Ladies, creating a recognizable game identity and focusing on the growth of young players.

The Head of Development of the Women’s Football Area Alessandro Terzi also welcomed the new coach: “We are happy with the choice we have made.
