This morning, Generazione S visited the “Morante” High School in Sassuolo, where Erika Santoro and Edoardo Iannoni led a discussion with the students on the topics of anxiety and fear, together with sports psychologist Andrea Menozzi.
A moment of genuine dialogue, rooted in the personal experiences of the two athletes, who shared how the emotions tied to pressure, performance, and expectations are part not only of their athletic careers but also of their daily lives.
In his remarks, Edoardo Iannoni explained how his relationship with anxiety has changed over time, evolving from an obstacle into a resource: “At first, I saw it as something new and challenging. Today, I’m better able to recognize it and use it as extra motivation. The important thing is to face it head-on, not avoid it: that’s the only way to grow and improve. ”.
A message echoed by Erika Santoro, who shared her journey of self-discovery and personal growth: “When I was younger, I had a hard time recognizing anxiety; I used to deny it. Over time, and thanks to therapy, I’ve come to understand that these are all natural emotions and that they can be managed. The most important thing is to have the courage to face them and ask for help when needed ”.
The discussion was led and moderated by Andrea Menozzi, who supplemented the participants’ comments with insights and practical advice, providing the students with useful tools for understanding and interpreting their emotions.
This was another significant milestone for Generazione S, which continues to bring the values of sport, of listening and personal growth off the pitch, meeting young people in their everyday lives.
