A day of sport and fun on the fields of Mapei Football Center on Sunday 31 May, during the third edition of the Torneo Generazione S, an event for young children organised by Sassuolo Calcio as part of their Generazione S ethical and social project.

The stars of the event were 24 teams of children born in 2017, from different regions of Italy, who competed throughout the day on the pitches of the Neroverdi training center in 5-a-side matches, made of fair play and a passion for football. From the first kick-off at 8.30 AM until the awards ceremony in the late afternoon, Mapei Football Center was filled with the enthusiasm of hundreds of children, coaches and families, who turned the event into a huge celebration of sport.

Clubs from Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Veneto, Marche, Umbria, Campania and Sicily took part in the tournament, demonstrating the growing popularity and importance of the Generazione S project even beyond regional borders. As is traditional, the sporting results took a back seat to the educational values that have always characterised the project. At the end of the event, all participating teams received trophies, medals and awards, in recognition of the commitment and participation of every young athlete.
