U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces the signing, on loan with option to buy – and obligation to buy under certain conditions – until June 30 2026, of Kieron Bowie (striker, 2002) from Hellas Verona.
Born in Kirkaldy, Scotland, Kieron starts with football near his hometown before joining Raith Rovers. At only 16, he debuts with the first team and plays 4 games with the Scottish League One Side.
The following season Kieron scores 10 times and assists 6 in all competitions and the rovers win the league, gaining promotion to the second division. Bowie gets noticed by Fulham and during the winter transfer window signs the player, who joins the Under teams of the Premier League club starting from the 20/21 season: in two years, 40 appearances, 20 goals e 4 assists.
At 19, he earns a transfer to Northampton Town, in the English fourth division, and after 5 goals that brought the team to promotion, Kieron stays and plays in the League One, where he scores 9 times and assists 6 times.
After being called by Hibernian, Kieron goes back to Scotland in August 2024 and after 15 goals and 5 assists in 52 games – with a debut in bot Conference League and Europa League – Hellas Verona brings the striker to Italy during the winter transfer window in 2026, when Bowie scores 4 times in 14 matches, with an assist too.
Called up by Scotland Under21 while still being 18, Kieron debuts in June 2021 scoring 3 in 11 games, and he gets straight away included in the Senior National Team, wearing the blue shirt for the first time ever against Liechtenstein.
